We the NSUERs are the winner..............

NSU Student Protest against tuition fee hike....

It started on 26th February. Suddenly we got a notice from NSU authority. They increased our tuition fees 4000/= per credit to 5500/= per credit. Tuition fees increased 1500/= per credit.

Can you imagine??? But it is the truth. Students protested against that. The protest was very peaceful and nice. The authority assured us, they don't increase the tuition fees of the existing student. The gave a notice on the notice board as well as on the internet notice board. We won that time and nobody had done any wrong thing. Nice and peaceful ending.

We thought that thing finished. The authority realized our problem. But.......

We were in vacation for the semester gap. But suddenly on 7th May, they gave the notice. That was Thursday. They thought we, the NSUERs can't be united because of the time. They forget about the technology and the spirit of NSUERs. On 10th May, they declare the advising date, and thought we may busy for the advising. They were also ready to protect any kind of protest. But they can't imagine how united the NSUERs. This time the NSUERs are also very organized and ready for the protest. If you see the notice, you may think the NSU authority is very nice. But they use some tricks. Normally we take 4 courses on a semester not 3 courses. So the equation is like this

12cr X Tk. 4000=Tk. 48000 12cr X Tk. 4500=Tk. 54000
campus development fee = Tk.3500 Student Activity fee = Tk. 2000
Computer Lab Fee = Tk. 1000 Computer Lab Fee = Tk. 1500
Student Activity fee = Tk. 1000 Library Fee= Tk. 500

Total = Tk. 53500 Total = Tk. 58000

Now another interesting thing. We gave 3500Tk. every semester for campus development fee. Say, you have a institution. You need to build your office building. Who will give you the money?? Nobody. You have to build your own building. Can you charge your customer for build your building??? Do you ever listen this kind of charge before??? But NSU authority had done this. They take campus development fee from every student from 7 years. They drop the charge now, but see they increase other activity fees. They decrease campus development fees Tk. 3500 and increase other activity fees Tk. 2000. And they also increase the Tuition fees. That notice said that, every university increases there tuition fees. But can they give any example that any of those university increases their tuition fees for the existing students????? No.

They may think the students can't catch that, but the students are much more smart than that authority. So, they protest against the Tuition fee hike. This protest was also very peaceful. They didn't want to make any violence. Because NSUERs know they are the best private university in Bangladesh as well as they have an beautiful image. So they protest infront of the STR (Star Tower) and gave slogan. But the authority didn't response. so they go to the main road and suddenly police came there and took place around the students.

The students were peaceful all the day. Around 4pm they took place inside the STR and wanted to talk with VC. But they can't do that. So, they took place there. I was at 1st floor. Around 150 students were there with 50-60 female students. suddenly i get some smell. Somebody burned something. There was smoke and no fire. But the NSU officials shouting and saying "Fire" fire"...... The students tried to go to the outside. It was a horrible situation. If any student slipped there, he/she must must be seriously injured. But the NSU authority don't care about the students. They use fake smoke to break the students unity. Do they successful???? No, never.

Most probably around 5pm there was some violence. Police charge against the student and student broke some NSU property. I saw in TV news, how the police beat the students. Can you believe, our teachers asked the police to charger against us??? But this is the truth. How can we now respect them???? Around 30-40 students are seriously injured.

Anyway. Today there is a news on newspaper. Police file a case against 400-500 NSUERs. Is the NSUERs are really responsible for that???????????? No, Never. The NSU authority is responsible for that. Police should file case against the NSU authority for the violence.


Now, i saw some of my friends said on facebook that after that violence they are not proud of a NSUERs. lol.... My dear friend, we are not proud of guys like you who are always in safe side and we don't care about your feelings... Go to hell......
